3.5) Create a whole-home finish palette (so the house feels cohesive)

Whole-home remodels feel high-end when the design is consistent across rooms. You do not need everything to match, but you do need a plan.
A simple palette approach
- One main flooring story (or two, used intentionally)
- A consistent base trim and door style
- A hardware family (mixed metals are fine when done intentionally)
- A paint palette that works in San Diego’s bright light
- Repeating materials in small ways (for example, carrying the same wood tone into shelving or vanities)
This is how a remodel feels like a “designed home,” not a series of separate room updates.
