You do not always need more square footage to create a bigger-feeling bathroom. You need better space planning.

High-impact layout moves

• Replace a bulky vanity with a floating or furniture-style vanity to open visual space.

• Use a larger mirror (or mirrored cabinet) to bounce light and increase storage.

• Choose a frameless glass shower enclosure to reduce visual barriers.

• Convert a tub-and-shower combo to a walk-in shower if you rarely use the tub.

• Consider a pocket door if a swing door steals usable space (case by case).
