- Confirm the scope triggers permitting and inspections (and build it into the schedule)
- Prepare plans and engineering (when needed) before the project begins
- If your community has design review standards, align aesthetic decisions early (windows, exterior changes, gates, fencing, roofing, etc.)
The key is sequence: approvals first, demolition later. Not the other way around.
